Kerala Crime Files S3, Anali, Roslin and more: JioHotstar announces 5 Malayalam web series for 2026

Kerala Crime Files, the first Malayalam web series of JioHotstar, which enjoys quite a fan following in Kerala, has been renewed for a third season. Not just the police investigation thriller, another popular series 1000 Babies will also be returning for a second season. These two big updates were shared along with major announcements Cousins & Kalyanam, Anali, and Roslin. The five Malayalam web series, set to be released in 2026, were announced as South Unbound event of JioHotstar. All the JioHotstar series will also be available for OTTplay Premium subscribers as well.

Kerala Crime Files, 1000 Babies return

Kerala Crime Files, helmed by Ahammed Khabeer, premiered its first season in 2023, following a police investigation into the murder at a lodge. The series returned with its second season in June 2025, delving into the probe of a missing CPO. Now the third season has been announced which would dive into yet another crackling mystery.

Another thriller series, 1000 Babies will be back with Season 2, helmed by Najeem Koya. Noted actress Neena Gupta led the first season with Rahman and Sanju Sivram in 2024.

3 new series on JioHotstar

Mystery seems to be the flavor of the season as JioHotstar’s new series Roslin, also seems to harbour a secrecy. Noted film actors Meena and Vineeth appear in the series, which revolves around a girl child.

The second series announced is Anali, helmed by directed Midhun Manuel Thomas. The teaser shared on Instagram spoke about the mysterious deaths of a family, which is likely to remind viewers about a recent real-life incident in Kerala. Actress Nikhila Vimal is seen in a key role in the series.

But for its final series, the platform chose to shed the mystery vibes and add some family drama and chaos surrounding a wedding. Titled Cousins & Kalyanams, the series promises to be a breezy watch.

Though 5 series, including returning titles, have been announced by the platform, the release dates are yet to be revealed. Apart from these, another Malayalam series Pharma, with Nivin Pauly in the lead, will drop on the platform on December 19, 2025.
