Musician Yuvan Shankar Raja surprised one and all by unveiling the teaser of Anantham, a web series which has been directed by V Priya, a former associate of Mani Ratnam. The eight-episode series has Prakash Raj playing the lead, while John Vijay, Sampath and Ananth Nag among others essay pivotal characters in it.  

Aravinth Sundar, Vivek Prassana, Vivek Rajgopal, Vinoth Kishan, Indraja, Anjali Rao, Mirnaa Menon and Samyuktha will be seen playing notable roles in the series which has been produced by V Murali Raaman of Happy Unicorn. 

What's Anantham about?

Billed as an emotional family drama, the story of the series revolves around Ananth, its protagonist, returning to his ancestral home after many years and reminisces good and bad memories his family members faced in the house between 1964 and 2015. He identifies stories of wonder, success, betrayal, laughter, horror, courage and love of various families who lived in the house. 

Anantham is Prakash Raj's third web series in Tamil after the acclaimed Paava Kadhaigal and okayish Navarasa. Last seen in Bollywood flick Attack which released a few days ago, his next notable release is KGF 2. Thiruchitrambalam, Viruman and Ponniyin Selvan are a few upcoming Tamil movies of the veteran actor.

When and where to watch Anantham?

The series is dropping on Zee5 on April 22. The screenplay of Anantham has been written by Priya herself along with Rakav Mirdath, Preetha Jayaraman and Reema Ravichander. Bagath has handled cinematography for the project which has music by AS Ram. 

Surya Rajeevan and Sathish Suriya have handled production designing and editing for the series respectively. The trailer of Anantham is expected to be out a few days before its OTT release.
