Only time will tell if this news is true.

What is Chhava all about?

Director Laxman Utekar is currently underway with the production of a historical drama centered around Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Titled 'Chhava,' the film's initial production phase is set to kick off in mid-October and aims to conclude by April 2024. With a focus on the pivotal role of Aurangzeb, the movie boasts an intriguing cast, featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna portraying the character of Yesubai Bhonsale.

Vicky Kaushal’s work front

Actor Vicky Kaushal recently shared the screen with actress Sara Ali Khan in the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, depicting the challenges faced by a small-town couple in their quest for privacy. Despite initial expectations, the film turned out to be a commercial success. Kaushal then embraced another small-town role in the family film The Great Indian Family, relishing the experience of portraying middle-class aspirations and simplicity, although it had a modest box-office collection.

In his second collaboration with Meghna Gulzar, Kaushal is set to embody the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur. Additionally, he will grace the screen in filmmaker Anand Tiwari's romantic comedy Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, where he'll share the spotlight with actress Tripti Dimri.
