Suresh Oberoi is a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's blockbuster film, Animal. The veteran actor was seen as Ranbir Kapoor's grandfather in the movie, which hit the silver screen on December 1, 2023. The senior actor shared his experience of working with Ranbir in the film. In his interview, Oberoi even praised (late) Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor for the way they have raised Ranbir to be a dignified person.

Suresh Oberoi lauds Ranbir Kapoor

In an interview with Lehren Metro, Suresh Oberoi said his Animal co-star Ranbir is a wonderful human and actor. The veteran actor further mentioned that Ranbir is very well-behaved.

"He has been given good values by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. I sent a message to Neetu saying, ‘Apne bahut aache sanskar diye hai apne bete ko (You have given good values to your son).’ He knows exactly how to behave, like a dignified person," he told the entertainment portal.

Animal worldwide box office collection

Meanwhile, Animal has turned out to be a money spinner at the box office. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has crossed ₹800 crore at the worldwide box office. The makers of Animal shared the official figures of the film is ₹817.36 crore. On the other hand, the domestic box office collection of Ranbir Kapoor's film is all set to surpass ₹500 crore.

About Animal's sequel

It has been confirmed that a sequel to Animal will be made. Tentatively titled Animal Park, the film will feature Triptii Dimri, Ranbir Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. It is expected that Triptii will have a longer screen time in the sequel as compared to the first installment. Having said that, there's no confirmation as to when Animal Park will go on floors. 

As for Ranbir Kapoor, his upcoming projects include Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana with Sai Pallavi and Yash. The actor also has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra 2 and 3 lined up.
