Animal Box Office Report – Ranbir Kapoor starrer unlocks new milestone, scores the biggest second Friday ever

Whether you hate it or like it, you are still reading every update about the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. The movie that has become the topic of every discussion with its release has possibly broken more records than it expected on its way and this is just the ninth day of its release. As it gears up for the second weekend at the box office, the numbers for the eighth day have hit the internet, and it seems like yet another record is broken as the movie has achieved a massive feat by scoring the biggest second Friday ever. 

The worldwide box office numbers of Animal have surpassed everyone's expectations and things are only looking up for the movie. As it is all set to touch the Rs 600 crore mark globally, the domestic numbers are not any less impressive. At home, Animal has not just broken records but is busy establishing new ones as we speak. As per the current numbers, the movie has scored the biggest second Friday, with a collection of Rs 21.5 crore in the Hindi version. 

If the collection of all languages is to be combined, Animal managed to earn Rs 24 crore. These numbers were never seen before on a second Friday. This is in the same year as releases like Pathaan, Jawan, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and Tiger 3. Animal has now collected a total of Rs 362.63 crore in the Indian market. It has left behind many big movies.

Estimations say that with the completion of day 9, Animal might end up crossing the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which is Rs 387.38 crore. Then the only competitor left will be KGF: Chapter 2’s Hindi version, which has earned Rs 434.70 crore.

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Shakti Kapoor. The movie is being planned to turned into a franchise and the announcement of its sequel, Animal Park, is proof of this. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more.
