Ranbir Kapoor is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming action thriller ‘Animal,’ co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The film, about to be released in the overseas market, has had a good run in advance bookings. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has managed to woo the audience even before its release.
According to reports from Bollywood Hungama, the film has made USD 750K from advance bookings for its premiere day at the North American box office. If speculations are to be believed, the film, with its advance booking still open, will see USD 1 million on the premiere day. With this, 'Animal' will become the first A-rated Indian film to achieve this milestone.
The movie received an A certificate from CBFC , and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share this news with the public. The director later, at an event, opened up about his thoughts on the same and said, "As far as Animal is concerned, I’d like to say that I am glad it got an A certificate. It is not for anyone under the age of 18. I will not be taking my son Arjun, my brother’s kids or any of my cousin’s children to watch this film in the theatres. Maybe I will have another child-friendly cut of the film for them. I have children in my extended family between eight months and 17 years and this film is not for them."
For the unversed, it was previously reported that the Indian film 'Animal' is set to have the highest number of theatres in the USA market, with 888 screens. This count surpasses the screen allocation for several other big-budget films, including Salman Khan’s 'Tiger 3,' Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster releases 'Jawan' and 'Pathaan,' Rajinikanth’s 'Jailer,' and even Ranbir’s 'Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva,' which was distributed by Disney.
Earlier Animal was supposed to be released on August 11, but due to post-production issues, the film was further delayed, and now it will have a clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur as both the films will be released in India, on December 1.
