Among the various revelations Sandeep Reddy Vanga made about the sets of Animal, one was about Ranbir Kapoor being a submissive actor. While dropping all formalities, Ranbir trusted Vanga's vision and went ahead with whatever his director felt right. Sandeep spilled the same during a recent interview. Here's everything he said...
While talking to the YouTube channel Game Changers, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that Ranbir never once doubted his vision for Animal. Being a submissive actor, Ranbir in fact told Vanga, "Mere ko nahi pata, tere ko kya lag raha? Tujhe lag raha sahi jaa raha? Toh sahi jaa raha." Vanga explained so while speaking of other actors who constantly try to change the cut by stating that they need more or less of something in the scene. That was something Vanga did not face with Ranbir, at least on Animal sets.
As is now a norm with Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movies, the content is often found to be problematic. In the same breath, people praise the leading actors for their performances. This happened with Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh and thr fate followed Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. While the content in Animal was called problematic and was highly debated, the actor's performance received acclaim from critics and public alike. Ranvijay Singh is a character that was discussed on social media for a long time after Animal's theatrical release.
Animal turned into a franchise, and the same was announced with the film's climax. Vanga announced Animal Park, which is the universe emerging from the movie. The shooting on the movie has not commenced and is likely to begin either by the end of this year or beginning of 2026. Both Ranbir and Vanga are busy with their individual projects at the moment. Ranbir is shooting for Love And War, and has more movies lined up before he moves on to Animal Park. So the wait for the second installment is longer than expected. Nonetheless, the excitement for it is still at peak.
