Looks like the earnings of an adult film are way more than a patriotic film. Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal has earned over Rs 100 crores, while Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur struggles to survive – with Day 2 earnings being about Rs 10 crores.

About Animal’s Box Office Performance

After outperforming Shah Rukh Khan's movie ‘Pathaan’ in day one collection, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal has swiftly crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office within just two days of its release. Early Sacnilk estimates suggest the film raked in Rs 66 crore on Saturday, elevating its total domestic earnings to Rs 129.80 crore. The movie kicked off its box office journey with an impressive Rs 63.8 crore on Friday, surpassing Pathaan's opening day collection of Rs 54 crore. However, it fell short of surpassing the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer's second-day earnings, as Pathaan secured Rs 70.50 crore on day two.

About Sam Bahadur’s Box Office Collection

Vicky Kaushal's film Sam Bahadur hit theaters on December 1, encountering stiff competition from Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, which also premiered on the same day. Despite the initial challenge, the Meghna Gulzar-directed movie showcased resilience by earning Rs 6.25 crore on the opening day. The positive trend continued as the film saw a significant surge on the second day, collecting Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

With an almost 50 percent jump on the second day, Sam Bahadur's total collection now stands at Rs 15.50 crore. The film features Vicky Kaushal portraying India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.

Notably, the trailer of this movie was launched by the Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande on November 8 in Delhi.
