Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor has broken records in Australia and Canada. It outperformed the collections of Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, in both markets to claim the top position. The film's makers also revealed on Sunday that it had made over ₹800 crore in revenue globally.
In just 16 days, Animal—which also stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Shakti Kapoor—has made ₹816.3 crore in global revenue at the box office. Canada, Australia, and the US have all had great success with Animal, which was released on December 1 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
According to Southwood, Animal has surpassed Pathaan to become the biggest-grossing Indian movie in Canada and Australia.

Regarding its net collection in India, the film is just shy of crossing the Rs 500 crore threshold, having earned a total of Rs 498 crore in 16 days across all five languages, with the majority of that amount coming from the Hindi version alone (over Rs 450 crore).
After Aamir Khan's Dangal (Rs 2024 crore), Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (Rs 1,148 crore) and Pathaan (Rs 1,050 crore), Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 918 crore), and Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar (Rs 876 crore), the Ranbir Kapoor movie is currently the sixth highest-grossing Bollywood movie worldwide.
