After announcing the new anthology Ankahi Kahaniya, Netflix dropped the trailer for the film. The three films are directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Abhishek Chaubey and Saket Chaudhary respectively. While features Abhishek Banerjee, Rinku Mahadeo, Rajguru, Dellzad Hiwale, Kunal Kapoor, Zoya Hussain, Nikhil Dwivedi and Palomi in the lead roles. In the trailer, we get a glimpse into each story which are set against the backdrop of Mumbai city.

The Maximum City itself plays a pivotal role in these films which are based on an intriguing journey of love, longing, relationships and human emotions.

Earlier in a statement, Ashwiny had given a gist about her film. She had said that with every story she wants to challenge herself as a storyteller. She wants to create varied emotional connections between the viewers and the characters that will last in their minds for a while. 

With this story, the Panga helmer hopes she can captivate the imagination of movie lovers with questions of untold and unanswered emotions every human goes through.

Her short film starring Abhishek Banerjee is penned by Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, the actor works at an apparel store and talks to a mannequin which becomes an eternal part of his life. 

Chaubey's short film is based on the Kannada story titled Madhyantara penned by Jayant Kaikini. The Udta Punjab director called it a story of Mumbai in the 1980s and young love in the world of single-screen theatres. His film is about finding love in theatres in a meet-cute way.

While Saket added, "Love stories have always been one of my favourite genres. It is a pleasure to be a part of Ankahi Kahaniya's thriving story theme." He co-wrote the short film with Zeenat Lakhani.

The film is about separation and longing for love after marriage.
