Anupamaa, 24 May update: Anupamaa’s mother suspects something fishy between Vanraj and Barkhaa

The day starts off with Maaya requesting Anupamaa to apply mehndi on her hands! She requests her to write Anuj’s name on her hands with mehndi. Needless to say, Anupamaa and almost everyone present there could sense and feel the awkwardness. Seeing Anupamaa’s helpless situation, Vanraj’s sister chips in stating that Anupamaa creates excellent mehndi, but only in the hands of selected people. Saying that, she requests a mehndi designer Jalpa to apply mehndi on Maaya’s hands.

Maaya, very intentionally spells ‘ANUJ’ and instructs Jalpa to write that nam e on her hands. Hearing this, Anupamaa feels very angry but also embarrassed. Baa, in her typical style, tells Maaya to not just write Anuj’s name on her hands, but also his phone number, PAN card number, Aadhar card number, his shoe size and also his ‘kundlai’ (birth chart)!

Meanwhile, another assistant starts applying mehndi on Anupamaa’s hands. And when everyone sees that mehndi, it comes to light that she had written the name of ‘ANUJ’ on Anupamaa’s hands. When asked, the mehndi lady says that she did exactly what she had done last time. And when suddenly, Jalpa sneezes sitting next to Maaya, she, accidentally, rubs off Anuj’s name from her hand. Seizing this opportunity, Maaya goes to Anuj and tells him to write his name on her hand. Seeing Anupamaa’s sorry state, Anuj feels extremely apologetic about it.

Seeing the constant eye contacts made by Vanraj, Maaya and Barkhaa, Anupamaa’s mother starts growing extremely suspicious about them and suspects a foul play between the three of them. She tells her son Bhavesh to keep a close eye on Vanraj and Barkhaa. And when the sangeet ceremony starts, Baa and Anupamaa’s mother set the dance floor on fire! They are followed by Toshu and Kinjal. Seeing Kinjal’s uncomfortable situation while dancing with Toshu, Anupamaa senses something amiss and she asks Kinjal if everything is ok. To which, she says all ok. Meanwhile, Anupamaa’s mother starts spying on Barkhaa and Vanraj.
