Anupamaa Written Update 21 August 2023: Anupamaa tells Paakhi to take a stand AGAINST her husband Adhik for domestic violence

The day starts off with Paakhi defending Adhik against her mother Anupamaa, wherein she states that it was only her who had provoked Adhik, which infuriated him to the maximum and that’s why he raised his hand on her. Hearing this, Anupamaa becomes extremely furious and starts shouting at Paakhi for defending her abusive husband Adhik. When Anupamaa refuses to stop yelling, Paakhi folds her hands and lands up begging her mother Anupamaa in front of everyone requesting her not to prolong the issue as she was only bothered about saving her marriage. She also requests Anupama not to break her marriage with Adhik.

Hearing this, Anupamaa is shell shocked and tells Paakhi that it came as a shock to her seeing her ‘fighter’ daughter having turned out to be a submissive lady. She also understands that, if she keeps her mouth shut against domestic violence, then, she will land up becoming a doormat, in the very manner she was a doormat for so many years and that she should not be like her. On the other hand, Kaavya and Kinjal have a heart-to-heart conversation about the unborn child. Kinjal assures Kaavya that she is always there for her anytime she needs anyone to speak to. Seeing the two conversing is none other than Dimpy, who walks out of that place. Seeing her, Kinjal and Kaavya express concern for Dimpy.

Back home, Anupamaa is still convincing Paakhi about her taking a wrong stand for domestic violence by keeping her mouth shut. She makes her understand that, in a relationship where there is no respect for each other, then, there is no reason why the marriage will withstand and be successful. Hearing all this, even Anuj and Vanraj Shah speak in unison with Anupamaa and her stand about domestic violence. At the same time, Baa and Babuji also make her understand about the position that she is in and the decision that she needs to take.

Meanwhile, Barkhaa tells Adhik to ask for forgiveness from Paakhi and that too… before everyone else he will be jailed for domestic violence. Hearing her advice, Adhik kneels down and seeks forgiveness from Paakhi before everyone. Seeing him ‘begging’ for forgiveness, Anupamaa and Anuj are in no mood to listen and pay heed to his ‘put-on’ act of seeking forgiveness.
