Ace director and actor Anurag Kashyap recently uploaded a picture with Vijay Sethupathi at the Chennai airport. Sharing the selfie on his social media handle, Anurag wrote, "before boarding the flight out... with @actorvijaysethupathi  #Chennai." In the picture, both Anurag and VSP are seen smiling and posing for the camera.

Meanwhile, speculations go on an overdrive if the duo are working together in a film. Many fans have left comments on similar lines.

It is to be noted both Anurag and Vijay Sethupathi had been part of the 2018 film, Imaikka Nodigal, which was written and directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. Though they didn't share screen space in the film, as Vijay Sethupathi appears only in a flashback portion, Anurag's performance as the villain had won him laurels. The film also marks the debut of Raashi Khanna in Tamil.

Anurag had recently appreciated Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai. Anurag is a fan of Vetri Maaran's work and had met the cast and crew. A picture of the lead cast, including Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, had made the rounds on social media.

Anurag had written about the film, "About last night with team Viduthalai (sic).” Viduthalai: Part 1 is definitely not for the faint-hearted. It is an elaborate, detailed exploration of abuse of power and it dives deep into the psyche of a man, an honest police constable, who is torn between his job and trying to find the truth. The film stars Soori as the constable and Vijay as the leader of a liberation groupViduthalai: Part 1. Very powerful film, superb performances across the board , the best opening shot I’ve seen in the longest time .. looking forward to part 2 .. Vetrimaaran is our best.

Interestingly, Anurag is gearing up to play a baddie in Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film, Maharaja, which will be directed by Nithilan Swaminathan.
