Kantara, which was released in Kannada a couple of weeks ago, has been running to packed houses in Karnataka and a few cities in other states. The movie's Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu versions hit the screens on Friday, and have opened to positive response.

The makers have taken to social media to announce that its 16th day collection is higher than its box office performance for any other day. The likes of Prabhas, Prithviraj, Dhanush, Karthi, Sudeep, Nani and Anil Kumble had earlier showered praise on the movie for its brilliant making and effective performance from artistes.

The latest to join the list is Anushka Shetty. The actress took to her social media pages to say that she totally loved the movie and congratulated Rishab Shetty and team. She also urged everyone to watch the film in theatres. 

Her post read, "Watched #kantara .. totally totally loved it , congratulations to each and every actor , producers ,technicians …team kantara u all were amazing , and thank you all for the experience .. Rishab shetty you were amazing … Please watch the movie in the theatres (sic)." 

Rishab has been planning to visit other states for the promotion of the project. He was in Chennai the other day and interacted with the media there. The video of him meeting Karthi went viral on social media yesterday. Rishab was heard telling Karthi that his idea was to promote the concept of equality through the film.

Sapthami Gowda, Achyuth Kumar and Kishore among others played significant roles in Kantara which has been bankrolled by KGF fame Vijay Kirgandur under the banner of Hombale Films.
