Tovino Thomas’ latest film, Anweshippin Kandethum, has moved from eighth to fourth on the list of the top 10 most-watched Netflix films worldwide in its second week of digital debut. Having received over 2.2 million views worldwide, the investigative thriller is among the top five.
The young star announced the news on Instagram. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for their support and appreciation. Thank you all for making this possible,” he wrote. He added that the movie is among the top 10 most-watched flicks on the popular digital platform in 15 countries, including Pakistan, Singapore, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, and Nigeria.
Anweshippin Kandethum, which debuted in theatres on February 9, began streaming on Netflix from March 8. The film caught the interest of Malayalam viewers, who are known for their enthusiasm for crime fiction. Now, the investigative thriller is being watched and cheered on by movie buffs across the country and the globe. This film was directed by debutante Darwin Kuriakose.
Positive feedback for Anweshippin Kandethum
The audience has been drawn into the film because of its intricate storytelling and performances.
