Aanum Pennum, Perariyathavar and more - Here are 5 movies to watch on Malayalam streaming platform iStream apart from Hodu

Malayalam film Hodu made its way into the digital space on January 22. The movie is available on the popular Malayalam OTT platform, iStream. The social thriller, which has Roopesh Peethambaran, Harikrishnan Sanu, Visakh, and Sarath Vadi in lead roles, centres on the country's flawed legal system.

Aanum Pennum

Savithri, Rachiyamma, and Rani are the three short stories included in this anthology film. It examines relationships between men and women, with each segment narrating a tale of passion, betrayal, and love against the backdrop of three distinct timelines. Audiences commended the outstanding storytelling and acting, particularly in the third short story, Rani.

Kho-Kho

The narrative of Rajisha Vijayan's Kho-Kho centres on the starting of a kho-kho team at an all-girls school and the subsequent events. The viewers called this film an inspirational sports drama with convincing performances. Despite not being in theatres for more than a week, the film's world television premiere resulted in the highest TRP rating ever for a Malayalam film with a strong female lead cast.

Perariyathavar

Perariyathavar centres on the struggles of a widower father and son who are working as scavengers for Kollam Municipal Corporation. They are members of a group that the general public marginalises in society. Father and son see and experience many nameless, isolated people—including themselves—during their trip in a trash vehicle. Suraj Venjaramood received a lot of praise for his performance in the movie.
