Sundar C's horror-comedy, Aranmanai 3, is expected to be one of the Tamil films which is likely to hit screens soon. The makers, who had wrapped up shooting of the movie a while ago, have now geared up for the release of its first single. Khushbu Sundar, one of the producers of the project, took to social media to announce that the single, titled Ratatapata, will be dropped on August 30. She tweeted, "#Ratatapata from #Aranmanai3 will rock your playlists from 30th August. Get ready for a swashbuckling song that will have you jolted with energy."

Arya and Raashi Khanna play lead roles in the film, which has a bevy of actors like the late Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Sakshi Agarwal and Manobala among others. Arya was last seen in Amazon Prime's Sarpatta Parambarai, while Raashi's Tughlaq Durbar, in which she is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi, will release on Netflix on September 10. The first look and motion poster of Aranmanai 3 were released earlier this year. Aranmanai and Aranmanai 2 were released in 2014 and 2016 respectively. While the first part had Sundar C himself playing the lead along with Raai Laxmi, Andrea and Hansika, the second part, too, had him playing an extended cameo, though Siddharth and Trisha were seen in the lead roles.

It is said that unlike the last two outings, Aranmanai 3 will have its hero turning into an intimidating devil. The movie, which was shot in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, has music by C Sathya and cinematography by UK Senthil Kumar. The climax fight sequence of Aranmanai 3 was shot lavishly in a set made at a cost of two crores, under National Award-winning action choreographer Peter Hein's supervision. The film is one of the last projects of Vivekh who passed away earlier this year.
