It was reported earlier that director Arun Vaidyanathan is busy with the pre-production of a children's film which will have music by veena maestro Rajhesh Vaidhya. According to the makers, the project, which will mark the latter's debut as a composer, will go on floors in September and will be completed in a schedule or two in Chennai.
Both of them had announced recently that none other than Academy Award-winning musician AR Rahman will unveil the title and first look of the movie on Wednesday. Announcing the title as Shot Boot Three, the legendary composer posted its first look, too, in his tweet with the post, "Best wishes to @Arunvaid and the entire team of #ShotBootThree for the launch of the film." In return, Arun and Rajhesh thanked Rahman in their tweets.
Venkat Prabhu and Sneha will play lead roles in the movie, which has Yogi Babu in a prominent role. Sudarshan Srinivasan and Sathish Suriya have been roped in to cranked the camera and edit the project which is bankrolled by Trident Arts Ravi. Interestingly, Ravi and Venkat Prabhu had jointly produced Chimbudeven's Kasada Tabara which is streaming on SonyLIV. Venkat had played the lead in one of its six stories, too.

The story of the film is said to be centered around four children, and the director, in an interview to TOI, revealed that he has finalized the cast to play the four characters. Sneha, who was last seen in Pattas, will next be seen in R Karthik's Vaan, along with Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Aparna Balamurali and Shivathmika Rajashekar. Venkat Prabhu has Silambarasan-starrer Maanaadu, which is hitting the screens this Deepavali.
