Arun Vijay has had three releases this year - Oh My Dog dropped directly on Amazon Prime in April - after which Yaanai was released in theatres in July. This was followed by the web series Tamil Rockerz releasing on SonyLIV a few days ago.
The actor has a few projects in his kitty and one of them which was wrapped up more than a couple of years ago is set for a theatrical release. Sinam, which has been directed by GNR Kumaravelan, will hit the screens on September 16.
An excited Arun took to his Twitter page to inform the same with the tweet, "Here it is!! A story that needs to be told!! #Sinam releasing worldwide on Sept 16th (sic)." The film's teaser was released more than a year ago.
The movie has the actor essaying the role of a cop whose world revolves around his family. How he sets out to take revenge against a few people after they make his life turn topsy-turvy forms the film's plot. Unlike a few cop dramas, Arun will be playing an ordinary cop who has certain limitations.
Pallak Lalwani, Kaali Venkat and RNR Manohar among others essay pivotal roles in the project which has been bankrolled by Arun Vijay's father and veteran actor R Vijayakumar under the banner of Movie Slides Pvt Ltd. Shabir has composed music for the film which has cinematography by Gopinath.
Michael and A Rajamohammed have handled art direction and editing respectively for Sinam which has story and dialogues penned by R Saravanan. Stunt Silva has choreographed action scenes for the movie which has lyrics jointly penned by Madhan Karky, Eknath, Priyan and Thamizhanangu. Arun has Agni Siragugal, Borrder and Boxer awaiting release.
