Arya requests fans to watch action flick Enemy on SonyLIV; reminisces working for the film

Anand Shankar's multi-starrer movie, Enemy, which had Vishal and Arya playing lead roles, had a theatrical release on November 4. The movie was one of the two Deepavali releases Kollywood had for the festival. The film, which opened to mixed reviews, started streaming on SonyLIV from February 18.

The digital platform released a video of Arya requesting his fans and other movie buffs to watch the film on the OTT avenue. Arya said, "Hi, our film Enemy, directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Mini Studios, starring Vishal, Mirnalini Ravi, Mamta Mohandas, Prakash Raj sir, Thambi Ramaiah sir and myself, is now streaming on SonyLIV. We had so much fun shooting for the film. We really enjoyed shooting for Enemy. Watch it on SonyLIV and let us know your comments. Thank you (sic)."

The action flick brought Vishal and Arya together after a decade's hiatus. The duo was last seen in Bala's Avan Ivan. Unlike Avan Ivan, which had them playing friends, Enemy had Vishal playing the protagonist and Arya essaying the role of an antagonist. 

The film's story revolves around two intelligent childhood friends who choose different paths in life when they grow up. But fate brings them together.

Thaman's songs and standalone action sequences were appreciated by critics and the audience. Prakash Raj and Thambi Ramaiah's performances, too, received praise. Raymond Derrick Crasta and RD Rajasekhar have edited and cranked the camera respectively for the movie.

Karunakaran, John Vijay, Marimuthu and George Maryan among others also played notable characters in the project. The movie's female lead, Mirnalini Ravi, too, took to her Twitter page to announce the film's OTT premiere on SonyLIV. Vinod Kumar has produced the movie which has been written by S Ramakrishnan and Shan Karuppuswamy along with director Anand.
