Atharvaa, who has had two outings this year - Kuruthi Aattam and Trigger - is ready with his next. He has teamed up with Sarkunam with whom he had earlier worked for a project bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The movie has been titled Pattathu Arasan.

The production house had announced yesterday that there will be an update about one of their forthcoming films today, and fans of Rajinikanth were eager to know if the news is about the Superstar's upcoming movie. But to everyone's surprise, they came up with the Atharvaa-starrer's update. Though the last few projects of Sarkunam didn't fare well at the box office, his debut flick Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa were appreciated by movie buffs and critics.

Pattathu Arasan has Atharvaa and Rajkiran sporting rugged looks in its first look poster. Sandalwood actress Ashika Ranganath essays the female lead in the film which has music composed by Ghibran. Radhika Sarathkumar will be seen in a notable character in the project which has cinematography by Loganathan and editing by Raja Mohammed.

Mani Amuthavan and Viveka have penned lyrics for the film which has action choreography helmed by Kanal Kannan. RK Suresh and Balasaravanan, too, will be playing key roles in the project.

Pattathu Arasan is expected to hit the screens in 2023. Atharvaa has three films - Othaikku Oththa, Address and Nirangal Moondru - in his kitty, and two of them are likely to release in theatres next year. Lyca Productions, which is on a roll after the success of Ponniyin Selvan 1, had recently made a couple of announcements, sending movie buffs into a tizzy.

They have signed a two-movie deal with Rajinikanth. One among them features the Superstar in a cameo; titled Lal Salaam, it is being helmed by his daughter Aishwarya.
