A month after its theatrical release, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has made its way to OTT, but there's a catch. The film has dropped on Prime Video but is only available to rent at ₹349. Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the romantic thriller, which stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles, marking their tenth film together. The film also features Shantanu Maheshwari, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Saiee Manjrekar in supporting roles. M. M. Keeravani composed the music for the film and its soundtrack.

The original release date for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was July 5, 2024, but exhibitors and distributors requested a postponement. The makers released a statement stating that they have unanimously decided to change the release date of their picture, Aurion Mein Kahan Dum Tha, upon request from the exhibitors and distribution fraternity. On August 2, 2024, the film finally hit theatres, receiving mixed to unfavourable reviews from critics. The film bombed at the box office, earning only ₹12 crore during its run.
It was a very disheartening experience at the box office for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. On the first day (August 2), it grossed ₹1.85 crore. The collections for the last three days were ₹2.75 crore, ₹1.00 crore, and ₹0.95 crore, in that order. With a total expenditure of approximately ₹160 crore, the film made ₹12.00 crore in its first five days of release. With a loss of ₹88 to ₹148 crore, the film is the worst of 2024 following Ajay Devgn's Maidaan.
