Ajay Devgn’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha trailer is out now, and his character Krishna is addicted to the world of crime. He is now a part of that world and has no idea how to survive in the real world. The trailer sets the tone for how he is such a lost case that he cannot even save his relationship with Vasu (Tabu). Shantanu Maheshwari is seen as his younger version. The movie also stars Jimmy Sheirgill.

In the trailer, a scared lover asks Krishna (Ajay) if anybody in this world could separate them and he answers “Kisi ne try bhi kiya na toh, aag laga denge duniya ko.” And that is probably what happened, for Krishna is now a deadly prisoner who has committed two murders, one inside prison. That has a connection to his glasses. The minute Krishna gets his glasses off, you know that he’s got murder on his mind. In fact, he is about to get his time off prison but he has made sure that does not happen because he’s not ready to live in the real world.
Unwavered by Vasu’s emotions
Vasu is obviously concerned, and counting the days till Krishna’s release. However, her emotions are not something he has taken into consideration, despite them being separated for 22 years in a row. The two had sleepless nights without each other, but refused to accept so.
Jimmy Sheirgill’s introduction
In the next scene, you see the couple reunite. He stands, trying to take in where he once lived. She gets out of a car and looks directly at him, and the couple has a confrontation. She asks him if he remembered her even once. That is when we get to meet Jimmy Sheirgill, who plays the role of Abhijeet. He reminds Krishna of what he had. We also see Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar as their younger versions. Abhijeet confronts Krishna and asks what exactly happened the night of the murder, that everything changed between Krishna and Vasu. It is when Krishna says he is mentally ill, and acts before thinking.
The deja vu moment

When they were young lovers, Krishna and Vasu did all the romantic things, including playing Holi together. It happened again after they grew up. However, this time there is a lot of pain while celebrating the festival, which is considered the synonym of love, spring and colours. Just after the moment, comes the reason for the title. Ajay’s voice says, “Dushman the hum hi apne. Auron mein kahan dum tha?”
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie will be out in theatres on July 5.
