Ayushmann Khurrana joins Juno Chopra for family-comedy? All we know

Ayushmann Khurrana appears to be fascinated by the comedy genre of late. The actor is going to appear in a romantic-comedy, the first-of-its-kind to roll out of Maddock Supernatural Universe after horror-comedies like Stree, Bhediya and Munjya. The actor also has a spy-comedy opposite Sara Ali Khan, and we now learn that he has signed a family-comedy with Juno Chopra of Pati Patni Aur Woh fame. Here's everything you need to know...

Ayushmann Khurrana's family-comedy with Juno Chopra

Ayushmann Khurrana could have joined hands with Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra for a family comedy, if a report on Pinkvilla is anything to go by. "The actor has been looking to do a film in this genre for a while now and has finally found a script that balances situational comedy with a slap-stick touch," a source told the portal.

About the yet-untitled film

We hear that an ensemble cast is to come on board for the movie. The movie is scheduled to go on the floors in September 2025. All details, including the director for the movie, are currently under wraps. Ayushmann would work on the movie before moving on to Sooraj Barjatya's movie, the little birdie revealed.

Ayushmann Khurrana's exciting movie line-up

Ayushmann will next be seen in Thama. Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, it is the first out of Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Supernatural Universe that is not a horror-comedy. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles, with 'Bhediya' Varun Dhawan and Jaana Abhishek Banerjee in cameo appearances.

Following the movie, Ayushmann is expected to be seen in the Sara Ali Khan starrer. This would be followed by the Juno Chopra-directed film and finally, Ayushmann would play the role of Prem in Sooraj Barjatya's next movie, which also stars Anupam Kher. Whether the original Prem Salman Khan will also be a part of the movie still remains unclear.
