The 2026 Malayalam film Baby Girl, starring Nivin Pauly, Lijomol Jose and Sangeeth Prathap, made its OTT premiere on February 12, 2026. The Arun Varma directorial is available to stream in Malayalam and Hindi with English subtitles. This is the second Malayalam thriller to drop on the platform in two months after Mammootty's Kalamkaval, which revolved around a serial killer. All SonyLiv films are also available to stream on OTTplay Premium.
Baby Girl hit theatres on January 23, a day after the action-comedy Chatha Pacha, but did not impress the audiences and had a lacklustre box office run. Baby Girl made its digital premiere within three weeks of its theatrical release. Chatha Pacha, starring Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew, continues to run in theatres and has yet to announce its OTT release.
What is Baby Girl plot
The plot of Baby Girl focuses on the abduction of an infant from a hospital in the city, and the subsequent attempts to locate her. A hospital attendant comes under the radar, even as we see a brother and sister are also involved in the incident. Most of the events unfold during the course of a single day in a Kerala city.
Who are the Baby Girl actors
Nivin Pauly appears as the hospital attendant Sanal, who is accused of negligence that led to the abduction. Lijomol Jose and Sangeeth Prathap appear in other key roles in the film. Abhimanyu Shammi Thilakan and Azees Nedumangad play the cops in the thriller, penned by screenwriter duo Bobby-Sanjay.
Baby Girl is the second film of Nivin Pauly to drop on streaming after the 2025 hit movie Sarvam Maya. But unlike the thriller, Sarvam Maya was a feel-good film which revolves around a friendly ghost. Sarvam Maya was also a resounding success, grossing over Rs 150 crore, as per the makers. The Premam star also recently made his digital debut with the JioHotstar series Pharma.
