Palash Vaswani has once again impressed the audiences with his new offering, the web series Bada Naam Karenge. The director helmed the SonyLIV show, which has been backed by renowned personality Sooraj Barjatya. After his series was released, Palash recently opened up about his journey from Gwalior to Mumbai. Additionally, he shed light on his transition from being an engineer, working at an IT firm to completing his master's in design from IIT Bombay.

In an official statement, Palash Vaswani opened up about working with an IT firm and how it made him realize an important thing. "After engineering, I took a job at an IT firm, but to my surprise, I was let go within a few months. By then, I had also realized that I couldn’t be part of the rat race anymore. I went back to my childhood memories and what I loved most—shooting films with my father’s handycam," recalled Palash.

The filmmaker further revealed he worked as a creative copywriter at an advertising agency after completing his master's degree. Vaswani added that this experience helped him hone his skills as a storyteller. "Soon, I transitioned to directing documentary films, short films, and later, web series and films. Life hasn’t been the same since," he shared.

Talking about his new series, the filmmaker collaborated with Sooraj Barjatya for Bada Naam Karenge. Palash admitted he felt honoured to work with the most celebrated filmmaker of Bollywood.

Shedding light on his OTT show, he mentioned, "The story has such purity and a romantic feel to it. The backdrop also features two families—each from different economic backgrounds, with contrasting ideologies—coming together." The series, which premiered on February 7, is also available for streaming on OTTplay Premium.
