Action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles was released in theatres on April 11, 2024. The film revolves around a fictional story of a group of soldiers who team up to get back a stolen weapon from a masked and dangerous madman who wants to destroy India. After its theatrical run, the film is now all set to release on the OTT platform.

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial failed to impress audiences in the cinema halls and received mixed to poor reviews from the critics as well. Apart from Akshay and Tiger, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, Ronit Roy, and Alaya F in important roles.
According to the reports, the film was made on a budget of 350 crores and the movie grossed a little more than ₹95.48 crore worldwide which is a very poor total considering the massive promotions and the star-studded cast. The movie was shot at multiple sites in India and abroad, including Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Scotland, and London. The action thriller failed to strike a chord with the audience despite being an Eid release.
For the uninitiated, BMCM was released in cinema halls by clashing with Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, which was released on April 10, 2024. Salman Khan's films are an example of how Eid releases typically cause a storm at the box office but Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, both were unable to create the same magic amongst the audiences.
