The makers of the bilingual film, Balti, announced an update on its theatrical release. It has now been confirmed that the sports drama, starring Shane Nigam in the lead role, will hit the big screen on August 29.
Shane Nigam's Balti release date
It was earlier confirmed that the movie would be an Onam release. However, the makers shared the exact date of theatrical debut on July 17. During the holiday season, the sports drama—which is billed as Shane Nigam's 25th movie—will be concurrently released in Malayalam and Tamil in theatres. When it premiered in Onam in 2023, the actor's other movie, RDX: Robert Dony Xavier, was a tremendous box office success.
It was recently announced that Tamil musician Sai Abhyankkar will compose soundtracks for this project. Director Alphonse Puthren is also playing a pivotal role in Balti.
Shane Nigam's character Udhayan is shown in the most recent clip dressed like a tough kabbadi player. This film is directed by Unni Shivalingam. The director wrote the script for this action drama himself. With support from STK Frames and Binu George Alexander Productions, Santosh T. Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George are the producers of Balti. The movie was filmed in a number of places in Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Pollachi.
Onam releases in 2025
