Based on true incidents, Sathish Ninasam's next beckons the glorious '70s

We had revealed only a couple of days that actor Sathish Ninasam has turned producer for the fourth time in his career. The 'Lucia' actor will be co-producing an exciting film written by 'Bell Bottom' writer T.K. Dayanand that boasts of a vibrant '70s setting with Sathish himself playing the lead. And as promised the team has come forth right on time to reveal the film's title - Sathish Ninasam's exciting retro-themed film is now called 'Ashoka Blade'.

In the recent exclusive chat, Sathish shared that the film will be a bonafide entertainer that brims with love, romance, and action. Ashoka Blade is essentially based on true incidents that are set in the Chamarajanagar and Nanjanagud areas and will span close to 50 years, starting from the 1970s, and Sathish will be seen donning various avatars along the timeline, including that of a 70-year-old man. His character, reportedly, finds himself as part of a communal and social revolution and therefore, the story has been mounted on a large scale to justify the intensity.

"I was particularly drawn to the exquisite detailing with which T.K. Dayanand has penned the script - so much so that I sought the script myself when I first heard about it. But it needed scope and vision, and I decided on co-producing the film (under the Sathish Picture House banner) with Vardhan Hari to support those factors. The whole team, including our director Vinod. V. Dhondalay, is ensuring that the setting is closest to reality and therefore, we are procuring locations, props, and the works from authentic sources. Lavith, our cinematographer, has spent close to three months figuring out the visual palette of the film. Poornachandra Tejaswi too has been dedicating all his time for this special project," shares Sathish Ninasam.

The title of the film was made public earlier today, on the 15th of May, and the team organized a special muhurtha event on the same day to kick things off. The shooting is expected to begin shortly, once they finish erecting the resplendent sets for the film - Kavya Shetty, reportedly, will play a key role in the film.
