Adah Sharma is gearing up for the OTT release of her film, Bastar: The Naxal Story. The movie, which marked her reunion with Sudipto Sen, will start streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium on May 17. Directed by Sudipto and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Bastar had its theatrical release on March 15 this year. Ahead of the film's digital release, the streaming platform shared a new promo, featuring Adah Sharma aka Neerja Madhavan in distress after red action takes place.
ZEE5 shared a new promo of Bastar: The Naxal Story on Instagram. The glimpse gives us a quick insight into the red action that shook Delhi. Disturbed by the attack, how will Adah Sharma aka Neerja Madhavan respond to the entire situation? It remains for the audience to watch once the film drops on the streaming platform. Meanwhile, check out the new promo right here:
Sharing the gripping promo on the gram, the makers wrote, "Red Action ke dardnaak attack ka jawab kaise degi Neerja Madhavan? Bastar, inspired by true events, premieres 17th May, only on #ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu (sic)."
Before Bastar: The Naxal Story was released in cinemas, Adah Sharma spoke about the impact of Suditpto Sen's film and her character. The actress admitted that it did leave a strong impact on her.
"Yes, I think it does, and as an actor, I think it should because that is your job. Because if I say it doesn't touch me at all, I am not affected by it. I'll just come to set and act a little bit and do my lines and say everything and come back home, I think then it's wrong there will be a very plastic performance that comes out because I am just acting a little bit and coming back," said Adah.
In the film, the actress essays the role of IPS Neerja Madhavan. Though the film had a strong subject, it failed to work wonders at the box office. Bastar couldn't work as well as Adah's last film The Kerala Story.
