ZEE5 has dropped a new glimpse of Adah Sharma from Bastar: The Naxal Story. The clip features her character, Neerja Madhavan, attempting to expose a minister's cruel ploy.

Sudipto Sen's Bastar: The Naxal Story had a theatrical release in March this year. Two months later, the film, starring Adah Sharma, got its digital release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Bastar has been streaming since May 17, 2024. The makers are dropping new posters and promos to keep audiences engaged in Bastar's OTT release. The latest glimpse of Bastar has Adah, aka IPS Neerja Madhavan, trying to expose a minister's cruel ploy in the film.

ZEE5 shared the new promo for Bastar: The Naxal Story on Instagram. The post suggests that Adah as IPS Neerja is fearless as she sets out to expose the Home Minister in the film. While sharing the glimpse, the streaming platform mentioned, "Fearless and how! Watch Neerja expose the minister's cruel ploy. Bastar, inspired by true events, streaming now, only on #ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu (sic)."

For the uninitiated, Bastar marked Adah's reunion with director Sudipto after the massive success of The Kerala Story, which was released last year. However, their new project failed to recreate the same magic and tanked at the box office.
Adah Sharma on doing Bastar: The Naxal Story
To prepare for her role in Bastar: The Naxal Story, Adah Sharma did a voice modulation workshop. In an interview with the Free Press Journal, the actress said, "I had to put on a little weight. I used to have ghee laddoos and 5-7 bananas every day. Earlier, I was trained by the National Shooter," the actress said.
The actress recalled she did formal training in gun firing during the shoot of Commando. However, for Bastar, Adah learned very raw, gritty and real action. Apart from Sharma, the film's star cast includes Indira Tiwari and Shilpa Shukla.
