Benz: Samyuktha Menon confirms several returning LCU characters in Raghava Lawrence, Nivin Pauly film

The upcoming Tamil film Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence, features Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly as the antagonist. Not just Nivin, Malayalam actress Samyuktha Menon also plays a key role in the film, which is a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). There has been much buzz around Benz and whether it would feature other LCU characters. Now, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Samyuktha Menon has confirmed that several LCU characters would be returning in the much-anticipated film, but there is a catch.

Will Benz feature LCU characters

The movie Benz is the fourth instalment in the much popular LCU, crafted by director Lokesh Kangaraj. But Lokesh is not directing the upcoming film and has instead co-written the movie with director Bakkiyaraj Kannan. LCU fans were not too happy with this but they can expect their favourite characters in the Raghava Lawrence-starrer, Samyuktha Menon has said.

“Some have voice cameos, while others will show up in person. Whatever was left out in the previous movies, you will find connections in Benz,” Samyuktha told THR.

Like its predecessors, Benz is also an action-packed thriller but Samyuktha has clarified that she does not have any action sequences in the movie.

Samyuktha was last seen in the Telugu film Nari Nari Naduma Murari, starring Sharwanand.

Which are the other LCU films

The other three LCU films are Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo. While Kaithi starred Karthi, Vikram had Kamal Haasan in charge and Leo was led by Vijay. All three films were directed by Lokesh.

Lokesh last directed Coolie, which starred Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and featured a cameo by Bollywood star Aamir Khan. The film opened to middling reviews and Lokesh was also panned. The director, whose next film is with Telugu star Allu Arjun, has said that he would be working on Kaithi 2, which is also part of LCU. Rumours about an impending official announcement have gained momentum recently.
