“Best 10 years:” Lisa Kudrow pens heartfelt tribute for Friends costar Matthew Perry

Losing someone leaves a deep cut and scar inside our hearts and that pain is much deeper when the loss is personal and involves decade-long memories. Lisa Kudrow today shared an emotional tribute to her late friend and former castmate from NBC’s hit sitcom, Friends. The actress remembered Matthew Perry along with Jennifer Aniston, and David Schwimmer on social media. Yesterday other castmates like Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox also penned their goodbyes with a nostalgia trip.

Lisa Kudrow thanks Matthew Perry for bringing love, laughter and brilliance

Friends alum Lisa Kudrow penned a heartwarming “Thankyou” tribute to celebrate late friend Matthew Perry’s lively personality. Remembering their first meeting, the 60-year-old actor thanked Perry for making their bonding special.

Taking to her Instagram account, Kudrow wrote, “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY.

Thank you for your open heart in a six-way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of talking.”

Sharing a blurry Polaroid picture of herself with costar Matthew Perry, the Table 19 actress also reminisced how dedicated Perry was for work and he appeared on the set even in ill health and surprised everyone with his brilliance.

“Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew”, she concluded her post with a touching tribute.

The individual tributes and hearty remembrances are followed by a previously joint statement shared after Perry’s death. “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just castmates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” the remaining five castmates had said.

Matthew Perry passed away due to apparent drowning in a hot bathtub on 28 October in his LA home at 54 years of age.
