On the megastar Mammooty’s 70th birthday, fans seem to be the recipient of some unexpected gifts. A new poster of the fan-favourite Mammuka's upcoming film Bheeshma Parvam has been dropped today, and fans just cannot keep calm.

The poster, posted by director Amal Neerad on his Instagram handle today, shows Malayalee's beloved actor in one of his fiercest avatars yet. His long dishevelled locks envelop his forehead and he braces up in a defiant pose, enough to instil fear into the most dreadful of foes. With the background covered in dust clouds, it is a safe bet to say that the film will have some action-packed and intense moments. Sharing the post, Neerad also penned a lovely caption to go, wishing the star a happy birthday.

Ever since a glimpse of Mammootty from the upcoming film was out earlier this year, his unique avatar has been the subject of much buzz, with the new poster just adding to already mounting anticipation for the film’s release. Starring Mammootty, Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi, among others, Bheeshma Parvam will follow the story of a gangster who has left behind a life of crime to become a marine exporter. However, when the safety of his loved ones is threatened, like the mythical character himself, the ever-loyal Bheeshmavardhan does not hesitate to go back to his roots.

Featuring filmmaker Amal Neerad in the director’s chair, the film had started its principal photography earlier this year in locations like Kochi and Alappuzha.
