Bigg Boss has piqued the attention of the media long before the official word of the new season. Loyal supporters are going insane over this latest information that is being released on social media nearly every day. Apparently, Salman Khan will return to host the beloved show in its 16th season.

According to a report in Tellychakkar, Salman has sought Rs 1000 crore for the upcoming season. The news website's source also mentioned that "Salman has asked for a three-time hike in fees considering that he hasn’t gotten a big raise in the past few seasons. This time he is adamant that until he doesn’t get a hike, he won’t be hosting the show, though there is no confirmation on the same."

Salman may receive a total income of Rs 1050 crore for season 16, according to News18 estimates, considering that his income for the 15th season was around Rs 350 crore.

Despite his best efforts, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor revealed during news conferences that the executives continuously talked him out of it, which made him stay as host. However, things appear to have changed for the following season.

Furthermore, Bigg Boss 16 and Bigg Boss OTT 2 producers have contacted 17 personalities, as per reports. At this point, it is unknown who might accept the proposal. Arjun Bijlani, Divyanka Tripathi, Shivangi Joshi, Tina Dutta, Aarushi Dutta, Poonam Pandey, Shivam Sharma, Jay Dudhane, Munmun Dutta, Azma Fallah, Kat Christian, Jannat, Zubair, Faisal Shaikh, Kevin Almasifar, and Baseer Ali have allegedly been contacted by the show's producers.

On the work front, Salman is currently filming Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, aka Bhaijaan, with Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Daggubati Venkatesh, and several others. He will also appear in Tiger Zinda Hai 3 alongside Katrina Kaif. The actor is also working on the sequel to the 2005 film No Entry, titled No Entry Mein Entry, which is also directed by Anees Bazmee.
