Bigg Boss Kannada 12 promo: Kiccha Sudeep declares he’s ready for the new set, contestants and 7 crore Kannadigas

Bigg Boss Kannada returns for its 12th season on September 28, with host Kiccha Sudeep. The Kannada superstar had requested the showrunners for a later start date owing to his hectic shoot schedules for his next film, Mark, which they’d accommodated, even though, the Hindi and Malayalam versions are already underway and Telugu begins on September 7. Tamil will be the last of the lot, starting 3 days after the Kannada show on October 1.

Bigg Boss Kannada promises new set, contestants and loads of entertainment

On Sudeep’s birthday on September 2, Colors Kannada, the channel that telecasts Bigg Boss Kannada released a promo for the upcoming season, stating that it will be held at a new set with a new lot of contestants, with a format that will appeal to all sections of audiences.The show will be available to stream on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium also). Sudeep, who has been the face of Bigg Boss Kannada since its inception, had called it quits after season 11, and was even given a farewell at the grand finale.

But months later, the showrunners were able to convince him to return and signed him on for another 4 seasons. The new agreement comes with a significant increase in remuneration. Since Season 10, Sudeep fans have been urging the actor to distance himself from Bigg Boss Kannada, given the quality of contestants and the way the show was being conducted. During Season 11 also, this continued and his fans were overjoyed when Sudeep tweeted that he would not be returning to Bigg Boss Kannada.

Sudeep, who they felt was spending more time playing cricket and hosting Bigg Boss Kannada, would now focus on cinema, they thought. The actor’s film shoot will clash with Bigg Boss Kannada 12 only for about a month, as he’s looking at wrapping it up by end of October, following which he’ll only have post-production responsibilities.
