The lesbian couple of Adhila and Noora also entered the Bigg Boss House on August 3, 2025, as the 16th contestant. This does come as a pleasant addition to the popular reality show, which had earlier won appreciation for including members of transgender community. It would be interesting to see how the young girls would fit into the BB house and interact with the other housemates. With the young girls declaring that they "are not here to play it safe but to break stereotypes", it sure looks like they are here to shake up things at Bigg Boss and the Malayalam entertainment space.

Commoner brings in misogyny to BB?

But even when we got two brave girls in the BB house, one contestant’s remarks did raise an eyebrow that had more than a hint of misogyny. The very first contestant, Aneesh TA, a commoner, spoke about ‘men getting victimised’ while admitting that he himself was a divorcee. The host also asked him if he got a ‘pani’ from someone (whether he got into trouble because of someone). It is also notable that he is the first (male) commoner contestant in BBMS7.

Reneesha Rahiman is back in Bigg Boss

Former BB contestant Reneesha Rahiman, who was the runner-up of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5, was also back for Season 7, but this time with a task for the new entrants of the BB House. In BBM Season 7, the contestants got a new task even before they entered the house.

The other main highlight of the latest season is that Bigg Boss Malayalam finally got a house of its own. The spacious house, which has been well designed and furnished, also has some interesting additions such as Panipura.
