The trailer of Nenjuku Needhi was launched yesterday at an event in Chennai which was attended by the film's lead Udhayanidhi, producer Boney Kapoor and director Arunraja Kamaraj among others. The movie, which is the Tamil remake of Anubhav Sinha's Article 15, will hit the screens on May 20.
One of the highlights of the movie is said to be character played by Aari. He essays a never-before-seen negative character in the film which is based on a few true incidents as well. However, the actor, who was last seen in Nagesh Thiraiyarangam which released in 2018, couldn't attend the trailer launch event.
He posted a video on his Twitter page, explaining the reason behind the same and thanked the movie's crew. Aari said, "I had to miss the event because of an important function I had to attend in London. I have to thank Udhay sir and Boney sir for the opportunity. After my stint with Bigg Boss Tamil, many people kept asking me what's going to be my next film. And I proudly told them about Nenjuku Needhi." According to him, the movie is an important project in his career and he believes his character will earn him praises.
Aari emerged as the title winner of Bigg Boss Tamil 4, and his fans and movie buffs were curious about the projects that he is going to take up. Nenjuku Needhi is his first movie to release after his association with the reality show.
Dhibu Ninan Thomas has composed music for Nenjuku Needhi which has cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Ruben. Tanya Ravichandran, Shivani Rajashekar, Yamini Chander and Suresh Chakravarthi are a few others who will be seen essaying crucial characters in the project.
