Jaideep Ahlawat got a 50-time raise in between Paatal Lok and Paatal Lok season 2. This became possible because when he signed Paatal Lok, he was still newer to the industry and a relatively fresher face on OTT. However, by the time Paatal Lok 2 happened, everybody knew him by his name. "While he was paid a modest sum of Rs. 40 lakh for the first season, his compensation for season two has skyrocketed by an astonishing 50-fold. He's now earning a staggering Rs. 20 crore for reprising his role in the upcoming season," Pinkvilla quoted a source in 2022.

Jaideep Ahlawat carries Paatal Lok season 2

No matter which review you look at, everybody praises Jaideep for reaching newer heights with Paatal Lok season 2. His acting skills are met with praise and applause. His character Hathiram is now synonymous with Paatal Lok, much like he says that he is now one with the Paatal Lok.

Despite rise in OTT fees, Jaideep Ahlawat doesn't earn as much in theatrical releases

Although Jaideep is a star, he is an OTT star, at least for now. When it comes to theatrical releases, there's a whole other league of competitors. Thus, in that area, Jaideep is yet to achieve the feat he has on OTT. Nonetheless, it is no small achievement and goes on to prove that with exceptional talent who can bring in audiences, actors can shine on OTT just as much, if not more than they do in theatres.
