Bison Kaalamaadan box office collection day 5: Dhruv Vikram-Mari Selvaraj film may not be Diwali winner but shows consistent growth in earnings

Bison Kaalamaadan, the Tamil sports drama which hit theatres this week, has been getting a good word of mouth. The team is also promoting the film in Telugu. Starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, Bison is written and directed by Mari Selvaraj. Though not a Diwali winner, the film has made Rs 31 crore worldwide and has been showing a steady rise in daily earnings.

Bison Kaalamaadan is Mari Selvaraj's fifth directorial and features Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. The sports drama, which is inspired by the life of a kabaddi player and Arjuna Awardee Manathi Ganesan.

Bison hit theatres on October 17, and competed with Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude and Diesel starring Harish Kalyan. Even as Bison did not emerge as Diwali winner, the film has been showing a consistent upward trend in daily collections. As per Sacnilk report, from an opening of Rs 2.7 crore, Bison has been showing a steady rise to Rs 3.4 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday. Capitalising the Diwali holidays, Bison made Rs 6 crore on Monday and Rs 5.5 crore on Tuesday.

However, a red alert is issued in certain districts of Tamil Nadu due to the heavy rain, and the Diwali season coming to an end, Bison is to face some real tests soon. It is also second in terms of Diwali releases, trailing behind Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude.

Bison: Where to stream on OTT?

Bison will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. An OTT release date is yet to be announced by the makers. Also featuring Pasupathy, Lal, Ameer, Rajisha Vijayan, Anupama Parameswaran and others in important roles, Bison revolves around an aspiring youth who wants to make it big in kabaddi. Opened to decent reviews, Bison has Pa Ranjith as one of the producers.
