BLACKPINK's Jennie has recently made headlines for two entirely different reasons. On March 2, she was spotted at Incheon International Airport, departing for Paris Fashion Week in France. However, her airport send-off took a drastic turn when she encountered a minor injury amid the crowd of fans and reporters.

Then, on March 3 KST, Jennie sparked excitement as rumours circulated about a potential collaboration single with BROCKHAMPTON's Matt Champion.

BLACKPINK's Jennie at the airport:

Jennie was surrounded by fans and reporters at the airport, leading to increasingly crowded conditions. In the commotion, she inadvertently suffered a paper cut while reaching out to accept a fan's letter, causing her pain. Despite this, Jennie remained determined to engage with her fans and maintain her smile.

BLACKPINK's Jennie's collab:

Regarding the collaboration, both artists took to their personal Instagram accounts to share clips of an unreleased demo featuring Jennie singing a sweet love song while Matt supported her vocals. The clips quickly went viral on social media, with fans eagerly anticipating this unexpected collaboration.

Matt Champion is a member of the American hip-hop boy band BROCKHAMPTON, whom Jennie had previously been spotted checking out during their performance at Coachella."

About Jennie:

BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have extended their contract with YG Entertainment, but exclusively for group activities. Shortly after, Jennie made headlines by announcing the establishment of her label called 'ODD ATELIER' on December 23, 2023.

She disclosed her motivation for creating the company, aiming to 'attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected.'

Jennie clarified that while she desired to continue group activities with YG owing to their enduring 7-year partnership, her pursuits demanded a sense of liberation and comfort.

"I wanted to do group activities with the company I had been with for seven years, but I wanted to be freer and more comfortable in my activities, so I carefully founded a company called OA. I will work with the crew I have been with for a long time. I wanted to be able to do all my activities freely," she said.
