We had reported earlier that filmmaker Sarjun's Blood Money, starring Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead role, will have a direct release on Zee5 on December 24. The movie, which has the actress headlining a project for the first time, has her playing Rachel, a journalist who is on a mission to save two Indians from getting hanged in Kuwait.

The makers have released the film's teaser now through Vishnu Vishal's social media account. He tweeted, "Here’s the intriguing teaser of #BloodMoney, A ZEE5 Original Film directed by Sarjun KM, starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kishore and Shirish!" Blood Money has Subbu Panchu, Kishore and Shirish, too, essaying key roles in it.

The 47-second intriguing teaser begins with the Government of Kuwait confirming the death sentence of two Indian men. The two are expected to be hanged in 30 hours' time, but Rachel has some other plans. Looks like she has some crucial evidences which could abort the hanging of the two accused men. Will she be able to save them?

Produced by Irfan Malik under Emperor Entertainment, the film has G Balamurugan cranking the camera and Prasanna GK handling editing. The makers had wrapped up its shooting a while ago.

Arya and Venkat Prabhu has revealed the project's first look recently. Satish Raghunathan has composed music for the project, a lion's share of which was shot in and around Rameswaram.

This is Priya Bhavani Shankar's third direct-to-OTT release this year, followed by Kasada Tabara (streaming on SonyLIV) and Oh Manapenne (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). She has a theatrical release, Kuruthi Aattam, too, which releases on December 24.
