It's been a month since Valimai was released, and the movie still manages to hold the attention of film lovers almost every day. The other day, the Ajith-starrer was in the news when the producer of Metro, which released in 2016, filed a legal suit against Valimai's director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor, alleging that its core content was lifted from his film.
However, the Madras High Court dismissed the case citing lack of enough evidence to prove his claim. A few days ago, team Valimai had officially announced that the action flick will start streaming on Zee5 from March 25.
Fans of Ajith who watched the movie in theatres and others who missed it on the big screen are eagerly awaiting its OTT premiere. Many of them took to social media to express happiness over the digital release of the biggest Tamil hit of 2022.
An elated Boney took to Twitter to announce the news and added that the movie has collected more than 200 crores at the box office. This is one of the biggest hits in Ajith's career, too. Valimai had registered the highest gross on day one for an Ajith-starrer till date. The movie had a release in a record number of theatres in Tamil Nadu.
Valimai will drop in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada languages on Zee5. Huma Qureshi, who played a crucial role in the film, too, came up with a video in which she shared the news happily with movie buffs and her fans.
Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ghibran have composed songs and background score for the film respectively, while Nirav Shah has cranked the camera for the project. Vijay Velukutty has edited the movie which has action scenes choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan.
