Border 2: Diljit Dosanjh's first look as IAF officer from Sunny Deol's war drama revealed; Actor-singer's raw look from fighter jet cockpit hints at intense battle

Border 2 is a sequel to the 1997 war film, focusing on untold stories of bravery from the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war, with a massive scale and cast including Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan. After unveiling Varun Dhawan's look from Border 2, the makers shared the first poster of Diljit Dosanjh as an Indian Air Force officer. 

Diljit Dosanjh's raw and bold look from Border 2

On December 1, the makers of Border 2 unveiled the first look of Diljit Dosanjh. The poster shows Dosanjh in an intense look as an Indian Air Force officer in a fighter jet cockpit. There are blood stains all over his clothes, indicating that the sky battle will feature traditional battlefield scenes. Sharing the poster, the makers captioned the Instagram post, "Iss desh ke aasmaan mein Guru ke baaz pehra dete hain #Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026."

The actor shared a video where he is seen walking in the IAF outfit with pride in his face, while Sandesa Aaya Hai is playing in the background. 

Diljit Dosanjh's character in Border 2

During an earlier conversation in a podcast, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he will play the role of Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, an officer in the Indian Air Force, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.

Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon was an officer of the Indian Air Force. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honour during the war, in recognition of the sole defence of the Srinagar Air Base against air attacks by the Pakistan Air Force during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. He was stationed at the Srinagar air base when six F-86 jets of the Pakistan Air Force attacked on December 14, 1971.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will portray the character of Param Vir Chakra awardee Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya and Sunny Deol will reprise a role similar to the original.
