Border 2 is one of the most-awaited films. It is the sequel to JP Dutta's Border (1997). Starring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles, the film is all set to hit theaters on January 22, 2026. Now, Varun has shared a video where we can see Diljit wrapping up his part of the shoot for the film and celebrating the moment with the team.

Diljit Dosanjh has wrapped up his shooting for Border 2. To celebrate the moment, he distributed sweets among his co-stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and other cast members.
On July 26, Varun and Diljit both shared videos from the set where they are celebrating Diljit's shoot wrap-up. He fed laddoos to Varun, Ahan, and other members. Diljit captioned it, "BORDER 2 Shoot Finish Got to play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon Ji in the movie."
On the other hand, Varun captioned it, "Diljit paaji ka shoot khatam hua, ladoo vi batt gaye… dosti da taste hi kuch aur hunda hai! Thank u paaji will miss u and the team.

To this, Diljit commented, "Bhaji Baut Baut Pyar.. Pata Hee Ni Chala Kab Shoot Khatam Ho Gaya.. Bhaji DARBAR SAHIB Matha Tek Ke…Fer Arshi De Chole Kulche.. Te Gyani Ji Di Chaa Kachori Zarur Try Kareo.."
Diljit Dosanjh's character in Border 2
During a conversation in a podcast, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he will play the role of Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, an officer in the Indian Air Force, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra.
For the unversed, Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon was an officer of the Indian Air Force. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military honour during the war, in recognition of his sole defence of the Srinagar air base against air attacks by the Pakistan Air Force during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. He was stationed at the Srinagar air base when six F-86 jets of the Pakistan Air Force attacked on December 14, 1971.
Border 2 is directed by Kesari fame director Anurag Singh and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
