The much-anticipated war film, Border 2, is the sequel to JP Dutta's Border (1997). The film stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles. The film has been making headlines since the announcement and fans are eager for each update about it. The recent reports now suggest that the film will go on floors in November in North India.
As per the report by Pinkvilla, Border 2 is set to go on floors on November 25 in North India. The film also marks the first collaboration between producer Bhushan Kumar and JP Dutta. It is helmed by Anurag Singh. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh will portray Indian Armed Forces Officers in the film.
The source revealed that the pre-production work for Border 2 has been in the works for a year now and the team is set to commence the shooting on November 25. "Anurag Singh and his team are all set to start the recce for the film within a week, and the first two locations they have zeroed down on are Jammu and Srinagar,” the source told the portal.
The report also revealed that the team of Border 2 is planning to shoot most parts of the film in real locations near India’s border areas. They will shoot the film around special armed forces zones so that the audiences get the authentic and rustic feel from the film.
Border 2 will be shot over 6 month period from November to May and is set for a Republic Day 2026 release. "Heavy planning is going into the logistics to pull off an action-heavy and cult franchise like this in a professional manner, sticking to the planned timelines,” the source added.
Border 2 is a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster film Border, helmed by JP Dutta.
