Borrder: Arun Vijay's long-pending actioner with Arivazhagan to finally hit the screens on THIS date?

Borrder has been one of the few Tamil films which postponed its release date several times owing to reasons best known to makers. The makers had released its trailer more than a year ago, and there were multiple announcements made on its possible release dates, all in vain.

The last date the team came up with was on October 5, but the movie did not hit the screens then. Many cited that the makers cancelled their plan due to the terrific response to Ponniyin Selvan 1 which was released on September 30.

Now, they have announced that February 24 is the date on which the action flick will be arriving. Movie buffs wonder if the makers will be able to keep their promise this time. The Arun Vijay-starrer had an engaging trailer, but it looks like the constant change in release plans have led to lack of interest among the audience.

However, there are those who are banking on the combination of Arun and director Arivazhagan who delivered a riveting crime drama with Kuttram 23 in 2017. Regina Cassandra and Stefy Patel play crucial roles in the film produed by T Vijayaragavendra.

B Rajasekar and Sabu Joseph have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project which has action choreography helmed by Stunt Silva. Borrder will be the third venture of Arun and Arivazhagan together; their second outing, Tamil Rockerz, a web series, dropped on SonyLIV a few months ago.

Arun has had four releases this year, two theatrical and two direct-to-OTT projects. The actor has a few films in his kitty, including Agni Siragugal and another long-pending flick Vaa Deal.
