Brahma Anandam is a special film for multiple reasons, as it features the legendary Brahmanandam alongside his son, Raja Goutham, in the lead roles. Directed by RVS Nikhil, this family drama hit the screens on February 14, 2025, as a Valentine's Day special.
Though the film lacked major star power, it received strong backing from Chiranjeevi, who promoted it. While the performances were widely appreciated, the erratic narration significantly impacted the film’s reception.
The box office numbers have been disappointing, to say the least. On its opening day, Brahma Anandam managed to collect just Rs 40 lakh, followed by Rs 37 lakh on day two. As a result, the film has failed to even cross the Rs 1 crore mark.
Produced by Rahul Yadav Nakka, the film boasts an interesting premise—it revolves around a grandfather who takes his grandson to a small village with plans to remarry in his old age. The story unfolds as the mature love story takes shape, forming the crux of the film.
Raja Goutham’s performance as the grandson has been widely appreciated. While a few comedic sequences featuring Vennela Kishore were well-executed, the film failed to offer anything significantly new. Speaking at a press interaction, Brahmanandam expressed his happiness over the love and praise his son Goutham has received from both critics and audiences.
The OTT rights for the film are yet to be finalized, and its true test will begin once the weekdays start. However, Brahma Anandam appears to be the kind of film that may not perform well at the box office but could find an audience on streaming platforms. It remains to be seen when the film will make its OTT debut. At the box office, the film is performing disastrously. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
