After light comes darkness and keeping to the theme, the makers of Brahmāstra – Part One: Shiva have unveiled a new glimpse of the ‘Queen of Darkness’. In the film Mouni Roy stars as Junoon, Queen of Darkness and director Ayan Mukerji unveiled a new motion poster featuring the star.

The poster featured Roy’s avatar as the Queen, clothed in black and surrounded by a flaming red aura, with red eyes to match. Sharing the new motion poster and introducing fans to Junoon, Mukerji mentioned in the caption about how well Roy portrayed the character. The director revealed that initially during their first meeting he had decided to give Roy a ‘special appearance’ in the film. But in the end the actress had become a pivotal part of the movie, shooting with them from the first schedule to the last, becoming the ‘surprise package’ in the movie. The filmmaker also talked about how Roy had a deep belief in Lord Shiva and how the actress had really ‘understood’ her part.

Check out the motion poster below:

Mukerji has talked about how he had taken inspiration from Indian stories of Gods and myths for the film, reiterating that the film was not a superhero story. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva, Alia Bhatt as Isha, Amitabh Bachchan as Guru and Nagarjuna as Anish. The Ayan Mukerji directorial is bankrolled by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures. The movie’s trailer will be released on June 15, Wednesday.

Brahmastra will hit theaters on September 9, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
