Bramayugam, the Mammootty starrer which hit the big screens on February 15, 2024, has been considered one of the most unique cinematic experiences from the Malayalam film industry. The project, which is helmed by Bhoothakaalam fame director Rahul Sadasivan, has now emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of Malayalam cinema in 2024. Recently, the makers of Bramayugam took to their official social media handles and confirmed that the Mammootty starrer has entered the Rs. 50 crore club of Malayalam cinema.

Bramayugam crosses Rs. 50 crore mark

As expected, the period horror thriller which witnessed a slight dip in its collection during the weekdays got back into form on Saturday (February 24, 2024). As per the recent updates from the trade experts, the movie made a worldwide collection of over Rs. 4 crore on its Day 10, at the theatres. Thus, the total worldwide collection of Bramayugam has now crossed Rs. 50 crore mark.

The production banners, Night Shift Studios, and Y Not Studios announced the big news with a special update posted on their official social media handles, recently. “#Bramayugam crosses 50 Crores in Global Box Office Collections,” the banners captioned their posts. The new update has left both Mammootty fans and Malayalam cinema lovers, who have been completely mesmerized by the black-and-white visual experience created by director Rahul Sadasivan and his team, highly excited.

Bramayugam box office – What is next?

If things proceed at the same rate, the movie, which features Mammootty as the central character Kudamon Potti, will cross the Rs. 60 crore mark at the box office in another week. Bramayugam is expected to perform better than its Day 10, on Day 11, which is also its second Sunday at the theatres. The movie has been witnessing a huge audience rush during the weekends.

Even the major clashes with romantic comedy Premalu and the latest Malayalam release Manjummel Boys, have not really affected the box office performance of the period horror thriller. In that case, it is also safe to assume that the Mammootty starrer has all possibilities to cross the Rs. 75 crore mark at the box office, within its lifetime run.
